This is my friend Gunnar’s mockup Sweden jacket. It works pretty well! We’re going to add in the pockets and epaulets in the real version, along with hemming it properly, extending it to be double breasted, and fixing the collar because his neck is, well, too thick for the regular collar to work. We’re also going to extend the shoulders because his shoulders are too big as well, as well as adding padding to the shoulders to make them square, and adding interfacing and belt loops. We’re probably going to get the coat done, sans buttons and trim on the cuffs. Since we decided that it would make more of a point, we have these nice gold-brown-brassy colored buttons that we’re using, so we’re going to have goldish trim as well on his cuffs.

(yes, he got special glasses for Christmas from his parents just for cosplaying! He’s really into it!)

(and yes, that is expensive upholstery fabric, but it’s been sitting in my house for over 7 years with no one using it, so, why not?)

also, we’re gonna change the lapels a bit as well!
